BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT REPRESENTATIVE Electro Rent Corporation (NASDAQ ELRC) is the world''s leading technology rental company and is seeking a Business development rep based out of Mechelen, Belgium. We specialize in providing solutions for the temporary testing needs of the telecommunication, aerospace, computer and other electrical/electronic industries. General Description: Individual provides timely and accurate account (or prospect) qualification through investigative web-site/internet search, direct phone inquiry. Works closely with inside sales and Account Managers to establish strong Electro Rent brand awareness and revenue potential in targeted accounts. Verifies account potential, networks for additional names, and qualifies prospects as to their program and product needs. Key Responsibilities for the Business Development Representative:
  • Maintains an on-going outbound phone effort to establish and advance relationships with non-Alpha accounts and prospects as assigned by sale management.
  • Captures relevant prospect information in company database to ensure subsequent mailing or phone touches are accurate and qualified.
  • Determine immediate and future need for revenue potential with each of ER’s programs, while categorizing the prospects likely product needs and verifying the proper market segment.
  • Calls and qualifies all show leads generated by marketing and sales in a timely manner while seeking to stimulate immediate revenue opportunities.
  • Works closely with the inside team to immediately quote, support and close opportunities as they occur.
  • Researches select targeted market segments as they emerge for revenue opportunities. (Example: use web-sites, and call public college universities to establish us an Agilent distribution vendor). Qualifications for the Business Development Representative:
  • Native French or English.
  • Successful candidate must have excellent verbal and written communication skills with an excellent command of all
  • Microsoft Office programs.
  • Must have at least two years of phone-centric B2B sales or marketing experience and have a decent vocabulary.
  • The individual must be internet savvy, and understand how to use search engines, blogs and other links to acquire meaningful information.
  • Person must be very organized and able to multi-task on several concurrent but different projects all while maintaining various timelines for completion.
  • Truly must be an independent self-starter who thrives on task completion.
